Sincs is back on home soil!!

Well after almost 3 horrific weeks, Cam is back in Australia!!
Tuesday night Cam, Brooke and Monz were greeted at the Melbourne Airport by family and the local media. After a long flight with the paramedic they were very relieved to be back home and around family and friends. On a bad note, after everything they have been through the last few weeks, the airline company managed to loose all 6 bags and still haven’t shown up.
From the airport, Cam was taken to a leading Melbourne Hospital and was admitted right away. We met with the doctor who was on duty and he peformed a few simple test and deemed Cam was ok after the long flight home and was then taken to the ward so he could rest the night.
Wednesday morning was an early start. He was woken up for CT Scans and an MRI to check to see if the Spanish doctors had missed anything. The rest of the day was spent just relaxing and eagely waiting the results from the doctors. Unfortunatley, we won’t hear from the Neuosurgen until today.
Cam was really stoked to see a few familiar faces yesterday also with a few of our close friends coming in to see him. I also think just general things like watching TV in English and being able to communicate with the nurses etc has lifted his spirits alot.
The biggest postive that came out today was that Cam was able to walk by himself for the first time since his crash. Although it was slow and i was by his side so he didnt fall, it was still massive progess and each of the 4 laps around the ward got a little bit faster and his right foot started lifting with each step rather than it dragging.
He is still complaining about the numbness in the right side of his body starting at his face right down to his toes. Hopefully today we’ll have some answers why this is and how we can get it fixed.
I’ll be heading straight back into the hospital after work and will try and post another update tonight.

Glad to see you made it home…… I didn’t destroy your brother in Coolum this year – Gave the Tequila slammers a miss seeing as I thought you might need him in some coherant state to get you from the airport….. Also the bar he usually holds up wasnt thre anymore.
