His recovery, committment to the sport of FMX and sheer courage to return to competition after such a horrific crash is monumental. Knowing him personally is that much more special as you never want to see friends or people hurt/disabled from dong something they love and do for a living. Knowing we have Sincs back in competition for Australia means a lot and is ALL TIME!! Well done mate, use your courage to be back at the top where you belong. Cheers

we love to ride and i guess that no matter how hard times get (ie injury) the strive to get back up and keep going and ride for ourselves and the crowd and fans takes over the crash at hand haunts us every close call we have but thats y we love doing its the thrill..thats why i think hes coming back and to me that shows the mantallaty of all us riders and y nothing will ever stop us from gettin on our bikes

  5. Harley says:

Cams comeback to competition shows you how much these guy loves the sport and commited to this and that it is not just about the money its a lifestyle. so that what i means to me for him coming back and good to see the aussies out there bring it home cam!

  6. Clark says:

Seeing sinc’s first double flip on the crusty tour at Napier, i was unbelievably nervous for him.. The set up looked big, I was completely un-aware how dialled he had the trick. I would have even been content if he had chosen not to do it. When he pulled it clean as can be i was so stoked for him!! I realised he is one of the top riders in the world and he has what it takes to pull the trick endlessly. The sequence shot of the first doubleflip seems to represent Cam now, and i think its bloody awesome i can see myself in the background stoked as!!

I was watching x fighters live when i saw Cam crash and those nerves came back. I was scared for him, but now i see how confident he is on the bike and i am completely stoked again. i know he has learnt from his crash and just like when I saw his first double, i know he has the skill to get right back in there this year and dominate!!

Good luck Cam, you are a fan favourite because you have shown people one of the most amazing things. I was unbelievably amazed seeing the double in the flesh!

  7. juanjo says:

  8. Alessandro Seveso says:

Cam is a warrior, there’s no other way to describe him.

Around a year ago Jeremy Lusk had his horrible crash in Costa Rica which frightened everyone all over the world; fans of the sport for sure but, being a rider too, I can understand how that terrible night is still alive in every fmx rider and I can just imagine how much that’s even more true in a guy like Cam who was one close friend of Jeremy.
I’m sure Jeremy he’s an angel now and he’s watching and helping each rider who is in trouble to get through heavy crashes like Cam’s was.. ..surely Cam is strong too, he fought as strong as he could and passed through that horrible injury more quickly as anyone would expect.
You’re the man Cam, proud to have your pic on my desktop it always reminds me to never give up, never.

Blessings from Italy and good luck for the next event and the whole 2010 season.
    Alessandro

  9. Chris Elliott says:

    BOTTOM LINE…
You are a beast!!! You make me want to ride. I am soooo stoked for you man. Seeing you take that hit, your rehab journey and then you smiling in the video you put up of your first ride back…..how can’t a rider/human not draw inspiration!!!!!!

    Thanks Mate!

    Best of luck in 2010.

    Cheers,
    Chris

  10. Rhys says:

It’s awesome to see Australia getting back into the FMX world. Hopefully sincs can come back an dominate the competition like he would have during the previous x Fighters.

It’s great to see Sincs didn’t get too hurt and was able to come back, showing his commitment and dedication to the sport and his fans.

    Good luck at Mex!

  11. Paul Gray says:

To see a crash like that you automaticaly think that no man would want 2 return 2 riding & just walk away from tha sport. But when you have a love for the sport or lifestyle you live. you dig down deep in to your soul & heart to make a determination to get back up & push thru the pain & the recovery to get back to the top where you have pushed to be for so long that u can set you mind to make’n it back & know that u can NEVERWEAKEN….

  12. Davis Raver says:

My son and I attended the Red Bull X-Fighters in Texas 2009, We sat in front of the double ramp. I didn’t have a voice left when we went to our hotel that night. Cam hurt his ankle that night and kept pushing through. Try to get an NFL, MLB, NBA player to do that. To realize the commitment to execute the double backflip or any freestyle performance will only be known by a handful of men on this earth. The drive to keep pushing this sport forward through the injuries, the constant drive to put yourself out there over and over again for the fans and yourself satisfaction says volumes alone about Sincs character, the only choice he left himself is to comeback!!! Cam Sinclair is one of the handful of men that choose to live life a little closer to the edge than the rest of us who choose not to. For that I will thank Cam Sinclair for the hours of entertainment and welcome him back. That hot summer night in Texas I will never forget with my fifteen year old son. I just couldn’t imagine Cam Sinclair not coming back!!!
    Thanks Sincs

  13. Becki Pett says:

I am a very huge fan of FMX and i love 2 ride but about a two years ago i tried FMX for the first time in my life. I hit the ramp and chickened out but it was 2 late for me to pull out and i ended up breaking my ankle after i jumped off the bike. I was way to scared to even think about trying again.

Then last year i seen Sinc’s crash and that put me off trying FMX again even more. But to learn of Sinc’s comeback has made me re-think giving FMX another go. If Sincs can get back on the bike after his near fatal accident, i can sure give riding another go to.

I wish Sincs all the best for this year and i hope all goes well for him.

    Good on ya SINCS!!

  14. Mikaela Slattery says:

It means, pretty much everything. Sincs is a awesome competitor in freestyle and shows everyone, doing FMX or just watching it, that anything is possible.

Haha I had a stack today at our local track…nothing to say but 6ft of bloody mud but I have no idea how you could come back from an injury like you had :) .

It also shows the biggest determination and how strong Sincs is mentally.

I bought tickets to see the Crustys regional tour cause I wanted to see the double backflip live. Even though it was cancelled you still have to come to orange again soon! (I’ll have to try and con my parents into taking me to the Sydney show.)

Good luck and I cant wait for the x-fighters; your gonna ace it ;)

Oh and happy birthday btw :)

  15. Beau says:

    Sincs;

my uncle died of a motorcycle accident in 2007, ever since then ive been to scared to get back on a bike, and when i do i dont wanna get outta 2nd gear, it petrifies me to death.

after i seen your accident, i freaked i thought F@@K! Lusk all over again, i kept a close eye on your recovery and prayed for your recovery to be quick and succesful and i guess it worked.

for you to get back on the bike and huck your flips and make a comeback at X-Fighter’s has given me the inspiration to get back on the bike and enjoy what i miss doing, and thats riding trails and jumps.

    thanks heaps man (:

  16. Michael Amalfi says:

For sincs to recover was amazing!!! But for him to come back to FMX after almost being lost in the sport and this world is nothing that can be explained, its spectacular.

This means everything to me as i can watch the superstar keep going at his best and get better just like he did on the mcg infront of the demons not just did i get to watch you but got to watch the dees as well. You fuc*n rock sincs…all the way champ!!!

He is a FMX Aussie hero and star that shows what FMX is about… not just being able 2 do tricks on a bike but the focus and commitment involved. But you have come back to the sport like a true FMX champ… good luck for the future buddy you will always do me proud knowing you have done your best.

    Happy Bday Yeeeww

  17. Casey Eames says:

Sins return was the best thing ever. After seeing Lusk die from landed on his head then seeing Sincs did the same got shivvers up my spine and thought staraight away he aint guna make it. After i read he is expected to make a recovery i started cheering.

Sincs is the top Aussie rider in my books and hope to see him get revenge on the double flip. Even if i dont get the helmet Sincs will still be number 1 in my books.

  18. Jarrod says:

I think for Cam to come back the way he has just shows what a true champ he is.
Anyone who rides and has been injured knows what it like to sit and look at your bike in the shed and just want to get on it and ride.
That is why i consider riders weather it be Motocross , Super cross ,Endurance or F M X some of the most passionate sportsmen/woman in the world.

    GIVEM HELL SINCS

  19. Ben Woodeson says:

Sinc’s recovery to me means that you can do anthing you want to even if you dont ride bikes, no one woulf of blamed him for giving up from fear after that crash i know i wouldnt have but seeing him get back up and only after 5 months means so much to me no matter who you are what you do you can do anything you want as long as you put your heart to it and id just like to say thanks cam for being such an insperation to so many people
    Thanks
    Ben

  20. nathan says:

it just shows that no matter what happens, rideing a motorbike, or even doing anything that you are passionate about will always triumph over adversity. sincs you are an insiration to me and to many other riders. although im deffinatly not crazy enough to pull double back flips, or even single back flips. i’ll just leave it to the insanly talanted

  21. owen ramm says:

i maybe only 10 years old but you have been my hero and my friend for the past 4 years and when i saw your crash it devistated me.So to see you come back from that and be competing so soon is awsome.go get them cam its your year.

  22. It just shows that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. For Cam bein able to come back after a horriffic crash like that just shows his true fighting quality. What Cam coming back to FMX comp means to me is that he is a true fighter that dosen’t give up, some of the qualities in true heroes. Good luck Sincs and have a good one!

  23. Tom Broadbent says:

Worst thing ever to happen,, me and my cousin Jye Harvey were talking about it and couldnt believe that it happened

  24. Malachi Murljacic says:

It means so much to me and all the other Aussie FMX heads because Sincs has balls! period… Why? because he went out there and tried the hardest trick in modern fmx, the double flip. he almsot died.. but, hes back, again and this time, hes gonna take pdium gold, for me, for him, and for australia. Sincs, i dunno if you read these personally or not, but you are my hero, you got me into fmx, im 13 years old have an fmx teama nd am saving for a new bike, Cam, youre a legend, a true australian, and have the most courage in any perosn ive ever seen, i look up to you, as do thousands of others,a nd youve never.. let me down

      Mick

  27. Matej says:

I think Cam will be excellent this season leg, and that is a very well prepared for this season.
I think that will be executed tricks as you own sick desires.
Damage to the sky he worked obstacles.
    Holding fingers crossed for him!

    Matej

  28. aron gard says:

cam sinclair’s return after his terrible crash means cam has a lot of balls getting back into freestyle motocross. now since cam is back auzzie’s have a very good chance that a auzzie rider will be on top of the podium.

do it for the auzzie’s cam

  29. Caitlin says:

    Hey Sincs,
I think that Cam Sinclairs come back to this truely amazing sport means how much he loves and is devoted to his work. The way he got injured in Madrid was just devostrating because I thought he was never going to be able to ride again, but he pulled through and he pulled through because of all his family and his girlfriend fully behind him. So Sincs getting back on the bike means a lot to me as I am going to go see the Crusty Demons Thrist for Destrustion VIP and The Nitro Circus Crew VIP, so I get to meet my hero still .. :) Seeing Sincs get through that is going to help me get through it if i get injured.

    Thanks Sincs :)

  30. Jesse hollands says:

    Hey Sincs,
I have never met you, but let me tell you, mate, you are a dying breed. Excuse the bad pun, but people like you who can pull through just about any imaginable hardship gives me enormous lift in spirits.

I just missed out on an opportunity of a lifetime because I risked everything for it. Turns out that was my downfall – being too keen.

Reading your storey has led me to believe that tough times dont last, tough people do!
    Ride on brother,
    Jesse

  31. Jamie Shore says:

Sincs, You are a total inspiration to anyone that has had horrific life threatening injuries and your determination to get back to what you live for FMX makes you one of a kind…I have seen you perform your double backflip at the Melbourne Crusty Demons show and I was blown away. I have watched your recovery through your website and seen you getting around and you always stopped to say g’day . You made my day, week, month and year when you picked me up and took me for a ride on your Harley. It was awesome and you are a real Champ. I wish i was up in Darwin to watch you do the double backflip again. I can’t imagine FMX without you it just wouldn’t be the same..Happy Freestylin
    Jamie

  32. Tory says:

It is not finishing first or winning a competition that makes a rider, it is the years of blood, sweat and tears that gets him there and the dedication to get back onto the bike after every crash and injury. It people like Cam, Ricky James and many others that show what riding is really about.

Good to see you are getting back into the game so fast!
